IPSA’s Research Committee on Asian and Pacific Studies (RC18) and the International Studies Association (ISA) at Ball State University held the International Conference of Young Scholars for World Peace on November 21st, 2016. The conference aimed to discuss critical events in international relations with a diverse group of emerging scholars, students, faculty and public to increase mutual understanding.

Presenters included keynote speaker Ziyodakhon Gazieva, Uzbekistan; Chulhyeon Gu, South Korea; Ramkrishna Apsingekar, India; Founding Chairman Dr. Teh‐Kuang Chang, who spoke about the development of the IPSA Asian and Pacific Foundation; new RC18 Chair Dr. Angelin Chang; and President of the International Studies Association at BSU, Bryan Beaty.

The International Studies Association hosts an Annual Lecture Series of Diplomats, Statesmen, and other important figures. Previous speakers invited as a part of the ISA Series include Indiana Governor Robert Orr, Congressman Dan Burton, Chinese Ambassador Chow Shu‐Kai, Mongolian Ambassador Luvsandorjiin Dawagiv, Fudan University President Xie Xide, Vice President of the United National General Assembly Enkhtsetseg Ochir, and International Political Science Association Secretary‐General Guy Lachapelle.
